Upstairs at Lower Buckton...


We've three double bedrooms all quite different...

The Pink Room has a vast, six foot wide double bed (also available as twin beds), a hand-basin and a separate private bathroom.

The Yellow Room has an antique, mahogany bed with a shower room en suite.  There's also a double sofa-bed.

The Blue Room has a five foot wide double bed and a bathroom en suite  This room has also a double sofa-bed.

The bathrooms and shower room.......
Two massive cast-iron baths each with hand-held shower attachment and one walk-in shower with powerful water pressure.  All have generously sized, soft towels, fluffy bathrobes and lots of little extra bits and bobs of cotton wool pads/buds, tissues and so on.

Our gorgeous handmade soaps, shampoo & conditioners have been designed and made especially for Lower Buckton by Frankessence in Shropshire.  All environmentally sound with pure, natural and organic ingredients including lavender, rosemary, sage and lemon balm - to reflect the summer scents of an English country garden.

*Please note: If you have an allergy to feathers, the quilts and pillows can be replaced with synthetic filled ones but please try and remember to let us know when you book.  The beds are all made up with quilts so please tell us if you'd really prefer sheets and blankets when you book.
In your room......

All the rooms are quiet, with wonderful views across the fields to hills and have comfortable chair or sofa for relaxing, reading & watching favourite films.  There are eclectic collections of antique furniture, mirrors, pictures and prints. Lots of vintage fabrics, *feather-down quilts and pillows, cotton and linen sheets, in-room slippers, hairdryer (with good access to socket and mirror!), books, current glossy magazines and local information. There are flowers from the garden, homemade biscuits, fresh fruit and chocolates.

Electric kettles, proper leaf teas, herbals and ground coffee too with china cups and saucers and proper tea-pots and cafetieres as well.  Each room has a little mini-fridge for fresh milk and do remember to ask for jugs of Lower Buckton's bright, ice-cold and clear spring-water straight from the ground.  There are flat-screen DVD players/CD players (do bring your own films/CDs), DAB radios with iPod/iPhone docking & charging and free WiFi.  (Just a cautionary note to say that Lower Buckton does not have access to television anywhere in the house.)  If anyone has a sudden urge to start ironing, just say and an iron and board will be brought to your room.
